Hope this helps in your job search this week. Remember, each opportunity is a step towards a fulfilling career. Stay proactive and best of luck!

I’ve applied within hours (“apply promptly”); faster callbacks — verify “remote” training/benefits; NAVTA jobs: https://www.navta.net/page/CareerCenter.

What’s worked for me on remote gigs is asking for a 10–15 min “shadow via Zoom” of their triage workflow — it quickly shows training depth and if a DVM is on-call; @kfranklin2 is right on verifying benefits, but I skip teams that won’t demo. Anyone else tried this?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

I keep a one-page “skills snapshot” (restraint, anesthesia monitoring, ezyVet/Cornerstone, phones) and attach it with apps; it’s gotten me same-day callbacks. If the listing says “IC/1099,” I ask about PTO and equipment stipends — great pay can hide zero benefits. For searching, AVMA’s board has decent remote tags: https://jobs.avma.org/.
