How often should pets have dental check-ups

I’ve been wondering about the frequency of dental check-ups for pets. Since we often recommend annual cleanings, does anyone here have experience with how often dental issues arise? It seems like some pets need more frequent attention. Just curious if there are guidelines or personal anecdotes out there.

I’ve noticed some pets, especially older ones, seem to have dental issues crop up more often than others — it might be worth having a check-up every six months for those at higher risk. Have you considered monitoring their eating habits for any signs of discomfort?

Totally agree about hands-on training! In my course, we’ve started using simulation tools for common procedures, which really helps students visualize the real scenarios. One student told me it felt like they were already in the clinic.
