Nutritional Myths in Veterinary Care

I’ve been noticing a lot of misinformation about pet diets circulating among clients — for example, many think that grain-free diets are automatically better for all animals, but that’s not always the case. It would be great to exchange evidence-based resources or experiences related to common dietary myths we encounter in practice.

I see this too! The grain-free hype can mislead pet owners… I’ve seen cases where it led to deficiencies.

, this drives me nuts! Just the other day, a client insisted their dog was healthier on a grain-free diet when I knew they were not getting enough fiber. I had to explain that a balanced diet is critical, and sometimes those carbs are essential.
