Had a chaotic day in the OR when we realized the scalpel disappeared right before surgery. Turns out it had fallen into the scrub pocket of our vet tech who was rolling on the floor laughing. Let’s just say, always double-check those pockets before surgery.
I’ve had my share of tool hunts too! Once I found a syringe in my glove! 
Always do a pre-op check. What do you guys do to track tools?
I once found a pair of clippers stuck in the side of my scrub pants right before a procedure. It definitely taught me to do a full inspect before scrubbing in. Those pockets can be sneaky! @vettechlife knows exactly what I mean.
Sounds like a scene out of a comedy! Once, I almost started a surgery with a measuring tape still hanging out of my pocket — definitely had to double-check those scrubs after that. You never know what might be hiding in there, right, @hburns88?
